The Grift Punks generative art — the code that renders all 10,000 — was authored by Anthropic's Fable 5. That isn't a marketing line; it's a record you can check. The authorship file is published permanently on Arweave, and its fingerprint is committed onchain by the wallet that deployed the collection.

Verify it yourself

  1. Fetch & hash: download the Arweave file and run shasum -a 256 — it equals the SHA-256 above.
  2. Match the chain: open the Etherscan tx → Input Data → "View as UTF-8" → it reads GRIFTPUNKS art-provenance sha256:c53ae789… — the same hash, committed by the deployer wallet.
  3. Read the record: open the file → the creation entry shows model claude-fable-5 authored sketch.js, with its message id and timestamp.
Scope, honestly: this proves the generative art / renderer was authored by Fable 5. The collection's website and some later engineering refinements were made with other tools — the claim is "the art was coded by Fable 5," which is exactly what the record shows. Anthropic can independently confirm the message id; the work can also be reproduced by giving Fable 5 the same brief.
